Warnings on duplicate models
complete
Civitai
There's a lot of models uploaded that are just re-uploads of other models available on the site, with the same hash. Sometimes by accident, sometimes maybe less accidental. Two different places for warnings would be helpful here. First a warning to the user while they're uploading, reminding them that this model they're uploading already exists on civitai (look it up by hash), and make sure this is really what they want to do. Secondly a warning on the duplicate model page advising everyone that this is a re-upload of another model (perhaps with a link to the copy that was first uploaded). The first warning helps cut down on legitimate mistakes, the second one helps prevent people from building a reputation off of someone else's work.

Although I wouldn't gatekeep anyone from wanting to upload their own version of a lora (since newer loras may be better trained than those first uploaded to the site), it is getting to the point that a single character may have multiple loras now. I've personally been wondering what is the best way to address this.
I'm always worried of potentially pushing away a well trained model over a poorly trained existing one. Although I do agree that we need some kind of user protection so that there isn't identical re-uploads. Sadly, that doesn't sound very easy without some kind of grace period implemented for a model to go live (that grace period could be used to scan the archives and see if it matches an existing file. If it doesn't -> let it auto go live, and if it does -> require a mod/community manager review).
